Introducing Gesha, the most sought after coffee variety in the world.

In the early 2000s, Gesha found its way to Malawi and proved to be the perfect fit for the region. This particular coffee undergoes the Washed Process, a procedure conducted at the MF Washing Station in Nkhota village.

During the Washed process, a mechanical pulping machine strips the coffee fruit from its seed at the MF Washing Station. These seeds, still encased in sticky pulp, undergo fermentation in a large tank. After a few days, the seeds are meticulously washed, drained, and washed again until only the seed remains—no fruit, no pulp, just the seed incased in a layer of parchment.

Washed coffee offers a chance to appreciate the inherent qualities of the coffee seed, rather than focusing on the fruit, allowing for a genuine taste of the terroir. The resulting Gesha seeds, crafted through this detailed process, showcase a captivating flavor profile with a full-bodied and chocolaty taste.
